In 2025, Pakistani youth are being presented with a golden opportunity to gain industry-relevant skills and secure sustainable employment. Under the special initiative of the Prime Minister, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), in collaboration with the Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PRGMEA), has launched a dynamic training program aimed at creating skilled professionals for the garment and textile industry.

This initiative, backed by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), is designed to bridge the gap between education and employment. It offers free technical training in high-demand sectors that promise real job prospects immediately after completion.

The program includes six specialized training courses:

1. Dress Making & Stitching

2. Fashion Designing

3. Merchandising & Management Techniques

4. Textile Production Planning & Control

5. Computerized Embroidery & Designing

6. CAD/CAM for Computerized Pattern Making & Documentation

These skill sets have been carefully selected to align with the needs of Pakistan’s growing garment and textile export industry. Enrollment is now open, and the training will commence from June 20, 2025. The duration of each course is 25 weeks, after which candidates will receive certification and assistance in job placement, ensuring that training is directly linked to real-world employment.
