Who Can Apply

  • Domicile: You must hold a Balochistan local or domicile certificate. The ad says applications from candidates with a domicile outside Balochistan will not be entertained.
  • Age: 18 to 35 years, counted on the closing date. The ad says age relaxation is already built into this limit, so no further relaxation applies.
  • Serving government employees: If you have completed two years of continuous government service on the closing date, you can apply through proper channel. You may get up to 10 years of age relaxation, and you must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) that states your date of appointment and type of employment, such as regular or contract.
  • Qualification and experience: These differ for each post. Check the table below.
  • Character record: Dismissed or screened-out employees of any organization, and anyone with a criminal record, are not eligible. Police or agency clearance is mandatory before selection.
Serving employees, note this: Even if you are selected, the ad says your service at QESCO will not be regularized. Think about what you would be giving up before you apply.

Find Your Post by Education

With 46 posts, it is easy to lose track. Start with your education and look only at the rows that fit.

  • No formal education: Sweeper (122 posts).
  • Primary: Cook (5 posts).
  • Middle: Naib Qasid, Mali, Daftri and Qasid. Carpenter asks only for “literate” but wants 7 years of trade experience.
  • Matric: Assistant Lineman, Bill Distributor, Vehicle Cleaner, Store Helper, Helper T/F Workshop, E/Helper (M&T), Junior Store Keeper, P.P.C Operator, Moazam-Cum-Khadim and Khatib-Cum-Imam. Add Science (C Grade) for A.S.S.A, Electric Fitter and Meter Mechanic. Posts like A/C Mechanic, T.W.O and Crane Operator also need years of trade experience.
  • Intermediate: Junior Clerk, Meter Reader. SSA needs Matric plus a technical diploma or certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree: Senior Clerk, Assistant/Head Clerk, Commercial Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Audit Assistant, Steno-II, Data Entry Operator and Data Coder.
  • Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) or similar: Line Superintendent-I and II, SSO-I and II, Foreman, Assistant Foreman, Test Assistant, Sub Engineer (Civil) and Surveyor.
About Assistant Lineman: The ad lists “Matric (minimum and maximum)”. Read that as Matric being the required level for this post, so confirm with QESCO if you hold a higher qualification.

Contract Terms You Should Know

These are government jobs in name, but the terms are not the same as a regular BPS appointment. The advertisement is clear about this:

  • Appointments are on a lump sum, contractual basis for one year.
  • An extension depends only on your performance appraisal.
  • The jobs are non-pensionable, with no long-term benefits, and can be ended at any stage.
  • You may be posted anywhere in Balochistan within QESCO’s jurisdiction.
  • QESCO can increase or decrease the number of posts, or hold the recruitment process, at any stage.

The ad doesn’t state a salary figure for each post, and we haven’t guessed one. Ask about the lump sum pay at your interview.

Selection: Walk-in Interview

All posts from BPS-1 to BPS-15 are filled through a walk-in interview, with no entry test and no written test. The ad cites an Establishment Division notification dated 27 October 2026 for this exemption. QESCO says recruitment will be done “at the doorstep” in districts, with the help of newly set up employment cells in Balochistan, to make sure local residents get the jobs.

What about typing and computer skills?

For some posts, the ad asks for typing, shorthand or basic computer skills. A one-time relaxation applies to identified posts: if no candidate has the prescribed skill at the time of selection, the selected person must learn it through on-the-job training during the probation period. Your skill will be assessed before your job is confirmed, and failing to acquire it is dealt with under the applicable rules. So skills still matter, even if you can start without a certificate.

Small but important: No TA/DA is allowed for interviews, so plan your travel costs. Interview venues and dates are not given in the ad.

How to Apply for QESCO Jobs 2026

The only valid method is online. Applications submitted by hand will not be accepted.

  1. Read the prescribed application form instructions on the National Job Portal at www.njp.gov.pk.
  2. Sign in, or create an account if the portal asks you to.
  3. Find the QESCO posts under the Balochistan quota.
  4. Fill in the form with details that match your CNIC, domicile and certificates.
  5. Upload the documents the form asks for.
  6. Submit, and save a copy of the confirmation.
  7. If you want to apply for more than one post, repeat the process. A separate form is required for each post.

Do the form carefully. The ad warns that incomplete applications, or ones with wrong information, will not be entertained, and that hiding or misstating facts at any stage leads to disqualification.

Documents to Keep Ready

The ad says original documents, your CNIC and your local/domicile certificate must be shown at the interview. We suggest preparing this wider checklist:

  • CNIC (original and copies)
  • Balochistan local or domicile certificate
  • Educational certificates and result cards (Matric, Intermediate, degree or diploma, as required)
  • Experience certificates for posts that ask for trade experience
  • IT course certificate (NITB/TEVTA or board/HEC-recognized) for clerical and commercial posts
  • Typing or shorthand certificates, if you have them
  • LTV/HTV license and the one-week Police/Motorway Police certificate for drivers
  • NOC from your department, for serving government employees
  • Recent photographs

Interview Tips

Because there is no written test, your interview and documents decide everything. These tips are our advice, not QESCO’s.

  • Match your documents to the post line by line. The qualification wording is strict, such as “C Grade”, “First Division” or “2nd Division”.
  • Be ready to show your skill. If you apply as a driver, electrician or typist, expect to be asked about your work.
  • Revise basic safety rules if you apply for line-related posts, since you may work on live electrical networks.
  • Learn a little about QESCO and the area you want to serve.
  • Carry originals and a neat set of photocopies in a folder.
  • Be honest. The ad says false information can get you disqualified at any stage.

Avoid Fake Offers

Big recruitment drives attract brokers and fake agents. Please protect yourself:

  • Apply only on njp.gov.pk, as the advertisement says.
  • Never pay anyone to “fix” a job, a list or an interview call.
  • Don’t hand your original documents to strangers.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Applying with the wrong domicile. Only Balochistan local or domicile holders qualify.
  • Applying for a post you don’t fully qualify for. Check grade, division and experience, not just the degree.
  • Using one form for several posts. You need a separate form for each post.
  • Waiting until the final day. The window is only 15 days, and portals slow down near the deadline.
  • Counting age incorrectly. Age is calculated on the closing date, and no extra relaxation is given, except for eligible serving government employees.
  • Applying by hand. Paper applications are not accepted.
